Peperomia Watermelon gets its name from the striking silver and green stripes on its round, fleshy leaves—closely resembling the pattern of a watermelon rind. Compact and low-growing, it brings a bright, playful feel to desks, shelves, and windowsills. Its upright, slightly domed shape gives it a tidy, sculptural presence with very little maintenance required.

Pro Tip
Peperomia doesn't like being overwatered. If you're unsure, wait another day or two before watering again—it's more tolerant of dryness than soggy roots.
-
Light and Placement
Best in bright, indirect light. While it can handle moderate light, strong indirect light helps maintain its signature leaf pattern. Avoid direct sun, which can fade the variegation or scorch the leaves. -
Watering and Care
Let the top inch of soil dry out between waterings. Peperomia Watermelon stores some water in its thick leaves, so it prefers a lighter hand with watering. Use a well-draining mix and avoid letting it sit in soggy soil. It enjoys a bit of humidity but doesn’t demand it.
-
Growth and Size
Typically reaches 8 to 12 inches tall and wide. It grows in a mounded, compact form and rarely needs trimming, making it a great plant for smaller spaces.
